Every injured worker is unique. Some require more direct case management to expedite their recovery and return to work. These cases are typically referred for field intervention. Red Mountain Field Case Management is ready to work for you. The referral source collaborates with the field nurse communicating all pertinent medical and demographic information.
Upon referral to the field, each case is immediately assessed after a discussion with the worker and a review of medical records. With permission from the account, the case manager works with the employer to obtain a job function of possible transitional work in advance of physician consideration for release to modified duty and contributes to a timely and safe return to work. A goal-directed plan is established to return the injured worker to optimal functioning capacity.
Attendance with the injured worker to physician appointments by a certified case manager with a registered nurse degree is extremely helpful in determining appropriate access and timely delivery of necessary medical services. Clarification of diagnosis, treatment/rehabilitation plan, prognosis, medical status within the usual recovery process, return to work dates and a definition of work restrictions can be identified. Diagnosis and treatment immediately following a work-related injury is critical to limiting future medical and lost time expenses. Effective and timely communications among all involved parties will expedite an early return to work. The case manager also works as a conflict manager to prevent litigation costs.
